Lara Jean is a hopeless romantic, even if she's never had a real relationship. She secretly writes letters to the five boys she's fallen for in her life, but things go awry when the letters somehow get sent to their subjects, including popular jock Peter. Since he's going through some romantic drama of his own, Peter makes a deal with Lara Jean to fake date and and stop the rumour mill, but the more time they spend together, the more they start to wish it wasn't fake after all.
