It's impossible not to have noticed this summer's most vivid trend: Barbiecore. Ever since the first images emerged of Margot Robbie on the set of Greta Gerwig's upcoming "Barbie" movie, Tik-Tok and the rest of the internet has been awash with every shade of the pink spectrum. From hot fuchsia to mouth-watering bubblegum tones, the fashion world has taken an instant injection of colour this summer.

And the catwalks haven't escaped the pink revolution, either. Valentino showcased their almost entirely pink Autumn '22 collection on a backdrop of the most vivid fuchsia, including set, runway, and seating all decked out in the super-hot hue. Furthermore, A-Lister's have fully embraced the unashamedly fun Barbiecore trend too with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Anne Hathaway, Stormzy, and Lizzo, all dressed in pink perfection.

But what actually is Barbiecore? In essence, it's anything that stylishly references Barbie's traditional wardrobe. That means all-out pink, overtly feminine silhouettes, mini hem-limes, sky-high shoes, and sparkle; basically, anything and everything you expect to see on the iconic doll herself. Barbiecore also brings with it a heart-warming nostalgic feel, the trend harks back to the '90s and early 2000s, which sits perfectly alongside the current Y2K trend that's showing no signs of disappearing. While there is a whole load of "Barbie" merch making its way into the shops ahead of the big film release on 21 July, the Barbiecore trend is how to honour this summer's biggest movie in the most fashionable way.

So, come on Barbie, let's go party! Read on to shop our top Barbiecore fashion finds.
