I don't know about you, but I am always watching Friends reruns, and pretty much immediately after we all started officially sheltering in place, I knew I had to rewatch every season. It didn't take long before I was propped up in bed, ice cream pint in hand, transfixed on one of Rachel's baseball tees. The same thing happened again when I saw Chandler in his waffle henley. I thought to myself, "This is all the stuff I want to be wearing right now!" Yep, somehow, none of my own sweat sets could compare to the screen style on Friends.
It's true — Ross, Chandler, Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, and Joey each stuck to their own signature casual aesthetic while lounging in the apartment, but they all owned pieces that were like, way stylish for athleisure-wear in the '90s. I always knew I was into how Rachel dressed in her miniskirts, tights, and boots, and that I loved the way Monica wore mom jeans, so wasn't it obvious that the best place to seek work-from-home style was right here on Friends too?
