Lily Allen Leaves Underwear Behind In a Stunning Sheer-Panelled Lace Dress
Lily Allen is continuing her style resurgence. The "Dreamland" actor celebrated a successful press night for her latest theatre performance in "The Pillowman" on 21 June, and wore a stunning sheer-panelled dress for the occasion. Leaving the Duke of York theatre with her friend, Miquita Oliver, the entertainer rocked the risqué look perfectly.
As she attended the press night party, Allen dressed in a black velvet Alessandra Rich gown. While the heavy fabric may be considered more of a winter choice, the ensemble was given a chic twist via sheer lace puff sleeves and panels down each side.
The see-through lace did bring with it a sartorial issue in the form of underwear, and it seems Allen chose to go without to ensure the panels were displayed in all their beauty with nothing to break up the fluidity of the pattern. With her signature blunt blonde bob and dewy makeup, she added Jimmy Choo platform heels to complete the look. The elegant take on the sheer trend was a stark contrast from her turn in the play, as she took to the stage a short time before to take a bow sporting a bloodied face.
The mum-of-two has been rocking some standout looks recently. From a gorgeous glittery co-ord at the pre-BAFTA party to a plunging purple Versace bra, Allen looks more confident than ever with her stylish wardrobe. With her acting career going from strength to strength, her celebrating four years of sobriety, and her marriage to "Stranger Things" star, David Harbour, continuing to melt our hearts, Allen's return to the spotlight is very much welcome.
