Michelle Keegan's New Very Collection Makes It Easy to Give Your Autumn Wardrobe a Stylish Revamp

This month, actor Michelle Keegan has once again teamed up with Very on a womenswear collection. Since partnering with the e-retailer back in 2017, the actor has launched both clothing and homeware, offering everything from sequins dresses to fringed lampshades. Her autumn/winter 2020 collection, which dropped on 14th Sept., marks the 22nd collection she's worked on with the brand — a task Keegan takes very seriously. The Brassic star sees the range through from the initial sketches to the final product, with the designs inspired by pieces from her own wardrobe or by her personal style icons.
When it comes to designing the pieces in the range, in a behind-the-scenes video for the collection Keegan explained how she "keeps thinking about how I'll wear that when I'm out with my friends, I'll wear that on a date night, and how I can see me wearing that to work early in the morning because it's comfy and cosy," adding that "I'll never put anything in my collection that I don't love, or I wouldn't personally wear."
"My favourite part of the design process is seeing the collection come together," Keegan said. "Because obviously we've been talking for months beforehand about what's going to be on trend, about styles, shapes, colourways, everything, and we've got a really good design team that works with Very, and then to see it all come together and see the story is really exciting."
Keegan's 52-piece autumn/winter 2020 collection offers cold-weather staples like a black motorcycle jacket, neutral-coloured jumpers, and cropped faux leather trousers. But she's also offering cosy, loungewear-type pieces for those of us who are working from home or simply spending more time in our joggers than a pair of jeans.
"Honestly, it's so exciting when I see people wearing the collection. It never, ever gets old," Keegan said in the video. "And when people come over and say, 'Look I'm wearing your top or your dress in the collection,' I get so excited — and I always get a picture with them as well."
