Sydney Sweeney looked euphoric on the red carpet of the MTV Movie and TV Awards in an early 2000s-inspired look. Accompanied by "Euphoria" costar Javon Walton, Sweeney chose a throwback look that ticked all the Y2K boxes, from the crystallized hemline of her low-rise rhinestone skirt to her cropped white button-up.

To ensure the entire Miu Miu look was cohesive, she matched the fabric of her viral skirt to her shoes, which featured chunky bedazzled heels, and her bra, which twinkled in the Santa Monica light from beneath her crop top. Small leather buckle detailing on her hips edged the look up just enough, and the end result looked like something pulled straight out of Paris Hilton's wardrobe.

This year, Sweeney was nominated for Best Performance in a Show for her role in HBO's "Euphoria." Her character, Cassie Howard, ended up being one of the most controversial of the season, and Sweeney was responsible for both maintaining her humanity and highlighting her most crucial flaws. Now, she's enjoying time spent as herself — celebrating major milestones in her personal life, like her engagement to longtime boyfriend Jonathan Davino. Check out the photos ahead to see the details of Sweeney's wonderfully Y2K fashion and why she's the only person who could potentially persuade us to give low-rise another chance.
