Coach's Tips For How to Lose Weight While Travelling

This Fat-Loss Coach Reveals 4 Key Tips to Staying on Track While You Travel

Nothing can disrupt your weight-loss plan quite like travelling: being thrown off your routine, tempting airport snacks, no gym in sight, and eating out at every meal. It's no surprise many people have a "screw it" attitude while they're travelling and throw caution to the wind.

That being said, it is possible to stay on track while you're on the go. Fat-loss coach Carter Good laid out four steps to take to stay lean while you're busy travelling for business or on holiday. "First thing to note: no matter how hard you try, you're not going to be perfect with your diet and exercise while travelling," he wrote in his Instagram caption. "These strategies will help, but don't expect to drop oodles of body fat while you're on the go."

His first step is to use intermittent fasting. If possible, try to only eat within an eight-hour window. That means if you can, skip breakfast and have your first meal around 12 noon, and be sure to eat your last meal before 8 p.m. Also, plan ahead of time: look up the restaurant menu beforehand, and stick to simple meals with lean protein and veggies.

Don't forget to move your body; he suggests being "activity-minded," which means to walk as much as you can, and work out first thing in the morning if you are able to. Finally, don't beat yourself up; just focus on doing your best.

"Instead of stressing, focus on enjoying yourself and doing the best you can," Carter said. After all, holiday is all about relaxing and having fun!
