Popsugar Health & Fitness Diet Tips How Do I Lose Fat? "Booty-Building Specialist" Says to Avoid These 3 Fat-Loss Mistakes, and Do These 3 Things Instead 3 August 2018 by Jenny Sugar View On One Page Photo 7 of 7 ADVERTISEMENT () Start Slideshow It's very common for people to prioritize intense workout sessions and workouts that *feel* hard, followed by some light weight training and then maybe focus a little bit on eating "healthier". - Exercise and eating healthier are great and all BUT the problems with this approach are: 1. It's far too easy to consume excessive amount of calories in a short amount of time and far too difficult to burn enough calories to put you in a deficit by exercise alone. 2. Doing a few exercises without challenging yourself with weight or getting stronger will not be enough to preserve or build muscle mass which allows you to appear more toned, helps keep metabolism high and makes fat loss more sustainable. - For BEST results, you'll want to shift your focus: 1. Controlling calorie intake, keeping protein high is the easiest way to lose body fat, (the protein helps you get/stay full on fewer calories and helps preserve lean muscle mass) 2. Next, you'll want to be lifting challenging weights to preserve/build that lean mass at LEAST 2-4 times per week. 3. Cardio can be thrown in here and there, but shouldn't be relied upon. Proper nutrition and weight lifting following a smart plan are FAR superior to cardio for fat loss/body composition goals. - Work SMARTER, not harder. 🤓 - 📧dkpetersonfitness@gmail.com - Online coaching, 12 week fitness program and discount code for @organifi products can all be found in the link in my bio 👉🏼 @devonpetersonfit - #abworkout #mindsetiseverything #fatlossjourney #getlean #musclebuilding #weightlossstory #weightlosshelp #weightlosstips #weightlift #quads #glutes #armworkout #bootygainz #workoutwednesday #gymlifestyle #workoutdone #workouttime #strengthtraining #healthyeats #healthyeatinghabits #healthybody #eatinggood #eatingwell #motivationalquote #treadmill #hiitworkout #circuittraining A post shared by Devon Peterson (@devonpetersonfit) on Jul 24, 2018 at 2:13pm PDT Share This Link Copy ← Use Arrow Keys → 7 Previous Next Start Slideshow Diet TipsWeight Loss
