In the past year, I've enjoyed spending a lot more time in the kitchen. While I wouldn't define myself as an expert cook, I've definitely been giving it my best effort. I do love cooking on my stovetop, but there's some days where I'm just looking for an easy alternative. I don't have a microwave and I recently decided I wanted to invest in a toaster oven as a quick and simple option. I ended up going for this choice, because why not get all the extra features? Plus, one thing that stood out to me is that it's popular for its scan and cook tech features. The Tovala brand goes beyond just producing ovens, it also offers food subscription options that are delivered right to door. Each week you can choose your favourite meals and when they arrive all you have to do is store them in the fridge, then when you're ready to cook simply scan them on the machine's handy scanning system and it cooks right away. The prep time is around one minute as the food comes in the containers they'll be cooked in and the oven is programmed to automatically pick the heat and time settings.
It also works for popular microwaveable and toaster meals that include everything from Trader Joe's meals to Eggo waffles.
I'm not one for gimmicky gadgets and this is far from that. I tried the meals and every single one was delicious and easy. That's right, all of those barcodes can easily be scanned on this device and it'll automatically cook for you. Plus, it connects to your smartphone, so you can track a meal in the oven or even browse more recipes.
