Trying one was on my to-do list for some time, and I'm finally spending my nights sleeping on one. While its impressive stats mostly speak for itself, I'm here to share my honest review. I have the Avocado Green Mattress With Pillow Top ($1,599-$2,899), which is the brand's basic model with an added pillow top for plushness.
Like most DTC mattress brands, it arrived quickly and in a box. It was easy to open and unpack within less than five minutes. My favourite thing: it didn't have that weird plastic scent when I opened it. The look and feel of the material impressed me. The mattress is made with certified organic wool and cotton that has both a luxurious and cool-to-the-touch feeling.
The wool is the real hero of this mattress, the organic fibre does what other materials cannot. I would agree with this, as I sleep both on my side and back and I found it the perfect amount of soft, yet supportive. I like plush choices, so this model with the pillow top is what I would recommend if you also like that cloud-like feeling. Otherwise, if you prefer firmer options, you can opt for the basic mattress without it.
I've tested the Casper and Purple mattresses, and each one has its pros and cons for me and the type of sleeper I am. In my opinion, the Avocado Mattress was not only one of the more comfortable models I've ever slept on, but the organic materials make it a winner too.
