Interactive Cloud Lamp

I can count six different lighting fixtures in my room, and yet, I could always use one more. While I thought my love for artsy lighting (and slight fear of the dark) had been fulfiled, this Interactive Cloud Lamp ($690) from Uncommon Goods has me ready to add a seventh (after I save up for it).

Not only does the lamp double as a beautiful sculpture, but it also has the ability to sync the red, green, blue, and purple lights with your music! But my personal favourite part? It has a remote control to change modes. It's like having your own personal lightning storm but to the sound of your favourite songs. The perfect decor item? Pretty much!

The lamp's artist, Richard Clarkson, hails from New Zealand, but his Brooklyn design lab produces "objects and installations that are stylistically minimal, materially honest, and sculptural to the core." His interactive cloud lamp comes with white hooks, a USB cord, a USB power supply, and an instruction manual. The product is only available for shipping within the US, so get ready to take requests from your friends and family who are abroad!
