This story follows a French teen, Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos), who, after meeting in a lesbian bar, begins a deep and emotional relationship with an older art student named Emma (Léa Seydoux). The intimacy in this movie is so intense that it has an NC-17 rating. It plays on deep connections between the two women rather than raunchy, graphic sex, making it an especially appealing watch for other women.
