Set during the brink of World War I, "A Dangerous Method" is about the tumultuous relationships between psychologist Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud, and a woman patient. It starts with Sabina Spielrein (Knightley) coming to Jung (Fassbender) for treatment, and he calls on Freud's (Mortensen) methods to do so. But when Sabina and Jung come across Freud years later, everything gets twisted. Sabina and Jung find themselves falling into bed together, but it only hinders Jung's relationship with Freud, which just traps Sabina in the middle of it all.
