The alert sent out was simply a test, however, many — including the writers at Saturday Night Live — were left wondering how the new system might be used in the future. "Failing New York Times said I cheated on taxes. Duh! It's called being smart," read an alert in a painfully accurate spoof on the show. Another one read, "Puerto Rico is fine now!
