Chip Gaines's Latest Instagram Proves How Thoughtful His 12-Year-Old Daughter Is
As much as we would love to be a fly on the wall in the Gaines's household on a busy morning, we'll just have to live vicariously through them via Instagram. Thankfully, Chip recently updated his followers on what an average morning is like with a sweet snap of a Post-It note from his 12-year-old daughter on the coffee machine that read, "Coffee is ready — Ella." He captioned the photo: "I love being home!! #farmLife #sweetEllaUpEarlyWithHerDaddy," and yes, we would 100 percent like to move in.
Although Joanna and Chip are unveiling a brand-new TV network in 2020, the jury is still out as to whether or not their five children will make an appearance on the small screen.
"The kids are very aware of what this is and why we're doing it," Joanna said in a recent interview. "If the kids want to be on it, they'll be on it. They're just all getting to this beautiful age where they're starting to figure out what they love, what they're passionate about. When they were younger, when we were doing Fixer Upper, it was natural for them to be on my hip. As they got older, we just never wanted to force the scene; we always told our kids, 'If you want to be part of this, we'll put a mic on you.' If the kids want to do it, we would gladly welcome it, but we'll leave it up to them."
