Jessie James Decker is opening up about her postpartum body and the pressure to bounce back. On Instagram, the 30-year-old country singer candidly spoke about putting weight loss on the back burner after giving birth to her third child, Forrest Bradley Decker, on March 31.
"Three weeks post and I'm still very swollen," Jessie said, adding that she's experienced the hardest recovery with her third pregnancy. That being said, she's "feeling stronger every day" — largely thanks to her adorable and "amazing" newborn.
Jessie ultimately wanted to encourage other moms to relish these early moments with their newborn babies. "I know I say this after each baby, but remember what our bodies just went through for nine months and be proud," she said. "Don't stress over postbaby body, just enjoy your new baby because these are beautiful moments and memories you will cherish forever."
Her words come not long after many wondered why Kate Middleton still had a slight baby bump after giving birth to her third child on April 23. What many don't realise is that, such is often the case for postpartum moms, it's just not often that we see it in celebrities and public figures.
