Yara Shahidi and Her Mom Prove They're True "Homegirls" in Adorable "Mother Daughter Challenge"

Jimmy Fallon just learned a very important lesson: never — and I repeat: never — test Yara Shahidi and her mother on their knowledge of each other, because they'll totally show you up. When Yara and Keri Shahidi sat down with the late-night host, he engaged them in a good ol' "Mother Daughter Challenge," and — spoiler alert! — they totally nailed it.

For the game, Jimmy asked the women random questions about each other, and they had to guess each other's answers on a notepad. First up, he asked Yara, "What's the one thing your mom says more than anything else?" The Grown-ish star immediately scribbled the words "homeboy/homegirl," and her mother wrote the exact same thing, explaining that it's a term she always uses when she doesn't remember someone's name.
