Ashton Kutcher Broke His Toe While Putting the Kids to Bed, and His Story's Entirely Relatable

Whether he's trying to keep his curse words to a minimum or ensure that his kids have a consistent bedtime routine, Ashton Kutcher is just doing the best he can like the rest of us. Recently, he stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan and shared how he broke his toe while attempting to put his 4-year-old daughter, Wyatt, back to bed at 3 a.m., and we can completely relate.

"I was in bed and our daughter comes into the room to, like, jump in bed with us . . . and Mila and Wyatt were having a little bit of a spat that day," he told Kelly and Ryan. "And so she comes into our room, and sometimes I just scoop her up and put her in bed, sometimes I take her back. I'm supposed to take her back, but I like scooping her up because it's so sweet."

But the 41-year-old father of two knows that rules are rules, so he finally made the choice to bring Wyatt back to her own room. "So she comes in, and I am like, 'OK. I'm either going to get 15 minutes of hell from my daughter right now or 15 minutes of hell from Mila in the morning' because we're trying to get Wyatt to sleep in her bed," he explained. "And so I'm like, 'OK. I'm gonna go put her in bed.'"

Looking back, it might have been wiser to just let her snuggle with him. Once he got up, he realised his foot was completely asleep, which resulted in him falling and breaking his pinky toe. "I'm on the ground, and I'm like, 'Um, Babe, I think you need to take Wyatt to bed.' And I don't want to turn the lights on because I'm afraid of what I'm gonna see." Apparently, his initial reaction was right! "It was three in the morning, and I didn't want to go to urgent care . . . so I did the Mel Gibson Lethal Weapon thing and just kinda put it back on." While Mila thought it was sexy, it sure sounds pretty dang painful.
