Carmelo Anthony FaceTimes With Son During Basketball Game

Carmelo Anthony's Son Was Beaming With Pride as He FaceTimed Him Midgame

Carmelo Anthony is back in the game! After being signed by the Portland Trailblazers earlier this month, the NBA player's career was revived, and no one was more proud of him than his 12-year-old son, Kiyan. On Monday night, the Blazers played the Chicago Bulls, and Melo had a season-high 25 point game. It felt like the 10-time NBA all-star was getting back in his groove after a stagnant few years, and Kiyan was there to witness it all — well, witness it on FaceTime. During the game, Melo's wife, La La Anthony, called their son so he could be front and centre for the impressive game, and his face said it all. Melo gave his son a salute from the court, and it felt just like old times.

After the news broke that Melo would be signed by the Trailblazers, La La shared a heartfelt message to her husband on Instagram. "He is his dad's #1 fan & super excited for this new opportunity . . . But what it's all said and done, he's still a 12yr old that is going to miss his dad 😢🙏🏽🏀 Portland you got a great one 🏀🙏🏽 #portlandtrailblazers #stayme7o," she wrote.
