We're suckers for an engageing sitcom, and Jamie Foxx's latest project with Netflix, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, will likely catch your teen's eye. Chock-full of funny one-liners, the first season of this comedy series is a modern take on family-centreed classics like Family Matters and The Bernie Mac Show.

Rated TV-14, it explores what happens when a single dad named Brian Dixon (Foxx) has his daughter, Sasha (Kyla-Drew), move in with him after her mother passes away. Between a truly hilarious cast of characters — Sasha's grandfather (David Alan Grier) had us howling with laughter — the family navigate a slew of problems big and small while living under one roof.

While parents could certainly get away with allowing kids under the age of 14 to watch this show, there are a few things they should know before pressing play when it begins streaming on April 14. Read ahead to get a peek!
