Earlier this year, Mexico's capital city was given the prestigious honor of this year's World Design Capital — and given its beautiful intertwining of colonial and modern architecture, it's really no surprise. The city is also experiencing a cultural renaissance, with a recent explosion in both the food and art scenes.
