Holly Willoughby Finally Got Her Wish When Sam Heughan Visited the This Morning Studio
Holly Willoughby, like so many of us, has a bit of an Outlander obsession. Back in December, she posted a picture of herself posing with a poster featuring Sam Heughan as Jamie, and what followed was a sweet and slightly flirty exchange between the two, during which Sam invited himself to the This Morning studios. It may have taken him five months, but on Tuesday, Sam finally made good on his promise, settling down for a chat with "fangirl" Holly and her co-presenter Phillip Schofield. "I knew this was a good idea, to come on this show!" Sam joked as Schofe presented him with a glass of whisky (another callback to that Twitter conversation), joking that Holly had already been at the bottle in an attempt to calm her nerves. The trio discussed the next series of Outlander and praised Sam's costar Caitriona Balfe, who he calls "just incredible" as well as discussing some of Sam's other future plans. He finished up his trip by letting Schofe take a picture of him and Holly, which she wasted no time in posting to her Instagram.
It seems the admiration is mutual, as Sam also quickly shared a snap of his trip to This Morning, joking "tried to play it cool, they're fab!!"
