Regardless, these brands have made a huge impact on the beauty industry.

1 Nudestix
Nudestix products were made for the girl (or guy) on the go. All of its products are made in — what else — a stick formula for easy application and blending. The sticks are portable and, even better, give your skin the "your skin but better" look that's totally trending right now. The brand was founded by sisters Taylor and Ally Frankel, under the guidance of their mother, Jenny, who is an industry veteran. (She is a cosmetic engineer who was part of the team that founded Cover FX.)
For a perfect taste of what the brand has to offer, try out its Nudies All Over Face Colour Sticks ($32), which come in three universally flattering shades. They all have a beautiful sheen that gives you a highlight that toes the line between glossy and kind of sweaty-looking, which is perfect if you're into the dewy vibes. 2 Ilia Beauty

ColourPop was the first venture of Seed Beauty, which is the parent company founded by brother-sister duo John and Laura Nelson. (Seed Beauty is now the umbrella that houses KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics.) ColourPop has become one of the most in-demand beauty brands on the market, known for creating high-performing products at an affordable price point. It has collaborated with some of the biggest beauty influencers, including Shayla Mitchell (aka makeupshayla), Bretman Rock, Karen Gonzalez (aka iluvsarahii), Kathleen Lights, and many more.
One of its new cult-favourite products is the Jelly Much Shadow ($6). It's a cream eye shadow that starts as a jelly texture and dries down completely budge-free. Few brands have taken the internet by storm as much as Huda Beauty has. Founder Huda Kattan is a beauty blogger turned mogul — who was named the wealthiest influencer on Instagram — who created her line after taking makeup classes and experimenting with different cosmetics. Huda Beauty has become known for being a high-quality, luxury brand, perfect for both makeup experts and novices alike. The business also stays in the family: Huda's older sister, Alya, was the brand's first investor, and her younger sister, Mona, is now the brand's global president.
It's no secret that its products run on the higher end of the price spectrum; a great way to try out its award-winning eye shadow formula is to get your hands on one of the Obsessions Palettes ($27). The name of the brand was inspired by the girls' grandmother, who used to use various kitchen ingredients to create concoctions to tame their hair.

6 Real Techniques

Not only do they create a great line of products, but they also donate 40 percent of all profits to organisations that support women's health. The business extends even further into their family, as their father, who is a biochemist and physician, helps formulate the products.

8 SaltyGirl Beauty
After Sarah Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer, her sister, Leah Robert (who is an oncology nurse), started doing more research about the ingredients that go into beauty products. The two of them had a newfound a passion for learning about beauty and the formulations of products. Sarah lost her hair during her chemotherapy and found that lipstick made her feel more confident, so she and Leah came together to found SaltyGirl Beauty.
