9 Cannabis Skincare Products Guaranteed to Make Your Skin Dope

If you haven't heard about CBD in skin care, get ready to. Topicals using cannabis are being used for everything from muscle pain to acne, and there are results to back their efficacy. Clinical research by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology and the National centre for Biotechnology Information show evidence that cannabinoids have antiaging and antioxidant properties. These studies also confirm that cannabinoids are responsible for lipid production and, therefore, for regulating conditions such as dry skin or acne.
So if you're looking to incorporate CBD into your skin routine, where should you start?
First of all: not all products calling themselves "CBD skin care" are the same. Some products only use hemp oil, which is legal in all 50 states. Others use pure CBD oil, which has even more medicinal properties, but no psychoactive effects (read: it won't get you high). Others contain THC and/or are transdermal, which means they cross the skin barrier to enter your system and will make you feel high. I've tried to clarify which is which for each product, but all the items I've included here are on the more medicinal end, and you'll need to live in a state where it's legal to purchase them.
These are my picks for some natural vegan cannabis skincare products to get you started.
1 Cannabliss Moisturizing Face Lotion
I really like Cannabliss's face serum as well, but its Moisturizing Face Lotion ($80) gives you more bang for your buck and is also lovely. It uses full-spectrum hemp oil, combined with a blend of essential oils to moisturize and prevent environmental damage, correcting your skin imbalances with cannabis sativa oil. I've been using it for about a month, and though my skin was already pretty good (thanks, veganism!), I can say I have noticed it's been a little softer and clearer.
2 Papa & Barkley Releaf Oil
Papa & Barkley's Releaf Oil (price varies) contains a 3:1 mixture of THC to CBD, which means you're going to feel it relax your muscles but not your brain. Papa & Barkley makes whole-plant products with no chemicals or solvents; just cannabinoids, terpenes, and phyto-nutrients that work to relax your muscles.
3 Aphorism Rub of The Green
This restorative balm by Aphorism ($53) contains bioactive chlorophyll from cold-pressed, virgin hemp seed and avocado fruit oils to moisturize the driest of skin. My mom used some after her knee surgery to help with pain and also found it helped heal her scarring.

Apothecanna Bug & Bite Insect Spray ($26) claims to both prevent and help heal bug bites naturally, which sounds like a great promise to me. It uses a natural essential oil blend that I can tell you from experience does work as a bug repellent — with the added bonus of cannabis, which probably can only help.

6 Whoopi & Maya Soak
The Whoopi & Maya Soak ($15) is made especially for baths when you're PMSing. It will relax your muscles, moisturize your skin . . . and probably put you right to sleep. A word of caution: because your vagina is, well, an entry point, this will get in your system and make you feel high — probably for at least a few hours, since there's 25 mg of THC per 8 oz. container. But, hey, you have cramps!
7 Mary Jane's Medicinals Topical Tincture
