Fans Think That Rihanna's New Red Hair Means Her New Album Is Coming Soon
On Sunday night, Rihanna made a surprise appearance at the 2019 BET Awards. But it wasn't just her presence that sent fans buzzing, her new rich red hair colour threw many people into a theorizing frenzy.
But Rihanna being Rihanna, fans think the new hair colour is more than just a new shade switch up. Aside from being an incredible shade — a cool, blue-based auburn colour — some people are convinced it means she might be dropping her upcoming album "R9" sooner than expected. According to some of her biggest fans, just before Riri drops new music drops, that's apparently when she decides to change her hair colour. Case in point: the multi-hyphenate business woman wore a brighter red shade back in 2010 during the release of album "Loud." She's also been hinting at this switch for a bit now. Last week, she wore red box braids to promote the launch of her Fenty pop-up shop in NYC, giving us a little taste of the spicy hue.
It's not just the colour that we're loving, either. Always at the forefront of the trends, Rihanna also wore a hairstyle that we've seen everywhere in Hollywood at the moment: the half-up ponytail.
