Julia Fox Dyes Her Hair and Eyebrows With a £13 Cherry-Red Colour: "I Did It Myself"
Julia Fox gave herself a complete makeover for New York Fashion Week. On 16 Feb., the model hard-launched her new red hair colour and matching eyebrows on Instagram. "My absolute favourite look this fashion week," Fox captioned a slideshow of her vibrant crimson transformation. "As for hair and make up . . . I did it myself yeah."
Dyeing your hair at home is no easy feat, but Fox took the plunge and emerged with bold streaks of cherry-red. And she even disclosed the home dye she uses: Manic Panic Red Passion. While the exact shade isn't available in the UK yet, similar bright red colours are. And the best part? They are just £13. For her makeup, she outlined her lips with a ruby liner and filled in her pencil-thin eyebrows with the same shade. She extended the monochromatic colour palette to her eyes with white eyeliner layered under pink eyeshadow. Fox finished her lips with a coat of gloss. "You as a red head is CRITICAL CONDITION," SZA commented on Fox's post, complimenting her surprise colour swap.
Red hair has been having a serious moment since early 2022, but Fox joins a new wave of celebrities in testing out the trend. On 26 Jan., Blake Lively ditched her signature blonde look in favour of red hair, which she shared a sneak peek of on her Instagram Stories. Earlier this month, Francia Raísa also debuted newly-dyed hair on Instagram. "Good morning! Allow me to reintroduce myself," the "How I Met Your Father" star captioned photos of her coppery waves dyed by Ashley Ruiz and Lindsey Neavitt of Nine Zero One Salon in Los Angeles.
