Fekkai Apple Cider Detox Scrub

After scooping out a small-to-medium amount, I applied the Fekkai Apple Cider Detox Scrub ($30) on my wet hair that I parted into sections to work the scrub evenly into my scalp. However, I found it easier to concentrate the product on my scalp by flipping my head over and working the product into my scalp upside down. By doing this, it was easier to massage my whole scalp without the rest of my hair coming in the way. I scrubbed my scalp for a minute or two minutes and then let it sit for another two to three minutes, as directed.

Since the scrub has a rich, creamy base, it didn't feel overly abrasive like a traditional physical scrub — it felt more like a cream cleanser. Once I rinsed it out, my scalp felt a lot cleaner yet nourished. In fact, when I followed up with shampoo, not only did it lather quicker than usual, but I didn't have to use a lot of shampoo in the first place. Using this scrub was like utilising the double cleansing method for your scalp.
