Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum, aka "Evie," was born on May 31, 2013, to parents Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum in London. The pair announced the news on each of their websites at the time, saying, "Welcome to the World!," as reported by People.
Everly was 5 years old when Dewan and Tatum split in 2018, but the pair made it a point to have a healthy coparenting relationship for the sake of their daughter. "When I became a single father, I had a lot of fear about connecting to Everly in every way that a little girl might want," Tatum explained to Parents in 2021. "I didn't wear nail polish or know how to braid hair. But now I do both. I jumped with both feet into this magical world, and I was rewarded with a kind of love that I don't think I would have ever been able to have otherwise."
Everly is so special to her dad that she even inspired him to write a book. In May 2021, Tatum released "The One and Only Sparkella," a children's book based on his relationship with his daughter. "It wasn't like I had this giant idea that I wanted to write a kids' book. It was just something that I noticed in my daughter, watching her for the very first time become self-conscious," the actor told to People in 2021.
And at only 9 years old, Everly is already following in the footsteps of her dancer parents. In May 2022, Dewan revealed on Instagram that her daughter has an interest in Irish dancing, which she apparently is really passionate about. "Evie has always loved everything Irish, especially the music and most recently Irish dancing," she wrote in part.
