Glastonbury Festival is officially over for another year. From Wednesday, 21 June through to Sunday, 25 June, festival-goers descended upon the fields of Worthy Farm for days of camping, partying, hanging out with friends and, of course, watching live performances from artists across all generations. While the weather played ball and kept the sun shining, those attending donned their best summer festival outfits — and that included celebrities both onstage and off.

Maisie Williams, "Queen Charlotte"'s India Amarteifio, and Lily James were spotted in their best boho looks for the occasion on Friday, which also saw attendees treated to a surprise performance on the pyramid stage. Fans had been speculating about who the mystery set would be from, as it was held on the Glastonbury bill under the alias The Churnups and, much to fans delight, it turned out to be the Foo Fighters. As the band were met with rapturous applause, Dave Grohl dedicated their final song "Everlong" to bandmate Taylor Hawkins, who tragically died last year, and brought his daughter Violet onstage to sing, too. A day later, Glastonbury spirit truly came into play as the crowd stepped in to help Lewis Capaldi sing his hit "Someone You Loved" when he experienced a Tourette's flare-up mid-set.

While Glastonbury festival is an iconic event in British culture, it has not been without criticism. This year's headline acts – which include Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, and Elton John – came under fire for being an all-white, all-male lineup. Co-organiser Emily Eavis hinted to The Guardian that the choice of acts came as a result of a "pipeline" problem with a woman artist having to pull out, which many concluded to be Taylor Swift. (Fans are already speculating as to whether Swift will be headlining next year due to a gap in her 2024 Eras tour schedule).

John's final ever live UK performance on Sunday night came with a slew of surprise guests as he thanked his fans for 52 years of "love and loyalty". Ahead, check out some of the best photos of celebrities in attendance, and some of the top performances at Glastonbury festival 2023.
