Jamie Lee Curtis and Her Daughters Make a Stylish Trio at the "Halloween Ends" Premiere
The "Halloween Ends" premiere was a family affair for Jamie Lee Curtis. The actor brought along her two daughters, 35-year-old Annie Guest and 26-year-old Ruby Guest, to celebrate the slasher film's debut at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on 11 Oct. The trio held hands and shared a few sweet interactions while posing together on the red carpet alongside other stars from the horror flick, including Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, and Rohan Campbell.
"My family. Proudest mother."
All three women dressed to the nines for the occasion: Curtis wore a red beaded Ralph Lauren gown; Ruby chose a silver dress, black jacket, and on-theme pumpkin-shaped purse; and Annie coordinated with her sister in a black strapless gown featuring silver roses on the bodice. While sharing a photo with her children from the event, Curtis wrote on Instagram, "My family. Proudest mother. Loving support."
It was a big night for Curtis, as "Halloween Ends" marks her final time portraying Laurie Strode, the hero on a continuous mission to kill masked serial killer Michael Myers. Since the Halloween franchise debuted in 1978, Curtis has appeared as Strode in seven of the 13 instalments. At New York Comic Con on 8 Oct., the 63-year-old star discussed the role's impact on her life, telling the audience, "I would not have a career. I would not have a family. Everything comes from you loving her." She later added, "You know endings are a b*tch, but so is Laurie Strode. So I'm ready to end it, but I'm gonna miss you so much."
Though Curtis has hit the red carpet with daughter Annie before, attending the 2016 Golden Globes together, the "Halloween Ends" premiere was Ruby's first public appearance since coming out as transgender in 2020. In May, Ruby tied the knot with her partner, Kythnia, in a cosplay-themed wedding officiated by Curtis. The ceremony took place in Curtis's backyard, just like the nuptials of older daughter Annie. "Both my children will have been married in my backyard, which brings me to tears," she told Jimmy Kimmel in March. "It's so much more meaningful, just forgetting all of show-off business — being a parent, having both of your children married in your backyard."
