On Thursday, the 37-year-old royal stepped out for a surprise engagement at London's Sunshine House Children and Young People's Development Centre where she met with first-time parents. The duchess — a mother to 6-year-old Prince George, 4-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 1-year-old Prince Louis — looked cheerful as she rocked a polka dot shirt and cropped pants. During the outing, Kate learned about the voluntary home's visiting program, which services parents ages 24 and under by connecting them with a specially trained family nurse. The appointed caregiver then regularly visits the family from early pregnancy until their child is 2. Inside the centre, Kate chatted with a young girl and appeared to compliment her shirt before flashing a sweet smile. Kate — who recently finished a year-long study about the early years of childhood development — also went into mom mode while visiting RHS Garden Wisley on Sept. 10. Gathering with parents and children to encourage involvement in nature, she delighted in meeting an excited baby who welcomed her with a wide grin. She definitely has the magic motherly touch! Look ahead to view more videos and photos from her surprise trip to Sunshine House Children and Young People's Development Centre.
