Pregnant Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Arrive at the 2023 Met Gala Fashionably Late
All eyes were on Rihanna and A$AP Rocky when they arrived at the 2023 Met Gala on 1 May — especially because they kept fans and photographers waiting, showing up hours after many other celebrities entered the event. The couple stuck to this year's theme, paying homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld with their outfits. A$AP Rocky wore a kilt over a pair of crystal-covered jeans, with several Gucci belts and a blazer and skinny black leather tie, the top half reminiscent of Lagerfeld's signature style. Rihanna opted to cover her baby bump with a large flower-covered, hooded coat and bridal-looking skirt.
It's an exciting time for Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who are currently expecting their second child. The 35-year-old Fenty mogul now famously revealed her pregnancy during this year's NFL Super Bowl halftime show. The newborn will join the couple's son, whose name still has not been publicly revealed.
Speaking to British Vogue in February, Rihanna said that she feels her son has strengthened her bond with A$AP Rocky, whom she's been dating since 2020. "We're best friends with a baby," she told the publication. "We have to be on the same page, but we've always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn't say it's done anything but made us closer."
