Meet the Cast of BBC's "Everything I Know About Love"

Beginning her career in modelling, Appleton began acting in 2017 with her first role in the BBC Three series "Clique". Her first major role came when she was cast as Feef Symonds in the Channel 4 spy thriller "Traitors". She is probably best known to audiences as Princess Renfri, appearing alongside Henry Cavill in the fantasy Netflix hit "The Witcher". Appleton will also appear as the main role of Thomasina in the sci-fi film "LOLA", due for release sometime this year.

Playing the lead role of Maggie, who is based on Alderton herself, meant Appleton was under even more pressure as she rehearsed under the watchful eye of the executive producer. Speaking to the BBC on what she has learned from the story, Appleton says it's "how many different kinds of love there are. I think we think that romantic love is the number one thing in our life, when actually there are so many other aspects that are as important." She continues: "It's not just romantic love, it's the love for your friends and your family and the love that you have for yourself."

London-born Powley began acting as a teenager, starting out in the CBBC series "M.I. High". She became known to wider audiences for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in "A Royal Night Out" and as Minnie in "The Diary of a Teenage Girl", with both roles receiving much critical acclaim. Recently, she starred alongside Pete Davidson as his love interest, Kelsey, in "The King of Staten Island". No stranger to theatre, Powley has appeared in the West End and notably as Thomasina in the 2011 revival of "Arcadia" on Broadway.

Playing the part of Birdy, Powley was a fan before being cast in the role. "I was a huge, huge fan of this book when it came out and I think a lot of millennial women were. It feels really special. Everything in this show is completely relatable to me," she told the BBC.

Born to a Scottish mother and Chinese father, Siu lived in Hong Kong until the age of 4, before moving to Scotland. Beginning her career in theatre and appearing in short films, her first major television role was as Echo in the CBBC series "Dixi". She became known to larger audiences following an appearance in 2017 zombie musical "Anna and the Apocalypse" as Lisa and also for the role of Kyra in teen spy series "Alex Rider".

It's the wit and humour that she will bring to the role of Nell that we're looking forward to, as she revealed to the BBC. "In the script, Nell came across as very witty, articulate and funny, with a lot of one-liners. In a lot of scripts, they are usually reserved for the male characters but in this, I think she has some of the best!" Siu explains.

Newcomer Odoffin only graduated from RADA in 2021. She appeared in numerous productions while gaining her acting degree and has had one theatre role since graduating.

"Everything I Know About Love" will be her first breakout television role, and we imagine it's only the start for her. Speaking to the BBC of her character, Amara, Odoffin says: "I think she's a big dreamer and wants to make her dreams a reality, so in that aspect I see a lot of myself."

Peters had a role in "Call the Midwife" in 2012 before roles in 2020 and 2021 in "Gangs of London" and "Pirates", respectively. He's set to be gracing screens extensively in 2022, with roles lined up in "Flowers in the Attic: The Origin" and "After Ever Happy".

Finch has made numerous appearances in theatre, including productions such as "Othello", "Angels in America", and "Earthquakes in London". His first television role was in ITV series "Professor T", and "Everything I Know About Love" is his first big role on the small screen.
