Mo is Zoey's gender fluid friend and neighbour who DJs and sings in a choir. In season one, Zoey helps Mo embrace his individuality, while Mo helps Zoey by offering her advice on how to solve her own problems. At the end of season one, Mo lectures Simon for leading Zoey on, even though it turns out Simon has good intentions. Mo also breaks up with his boyfriend after being offered an eight-month contract to perform on a show.
