Love blooms against the backdrop of a reality TV cooking competition in Love and Other Disasters by Anita Kelly. London Parker is the first nonbinary competitor to ever appear on Chef's Special, and they're determined to prove all of their trolls (including their dad wrong). That means they need to concentrate on the task at hand, not begin developing feelings for their fellow contestant, Dahlia Woodson. However, that's easier said than done when the clumsy, but determined Dahlia is spilling fish tacos on national TV and stealing London's heart both on and off camera. But as things heat up between the couple, they'll have to decide if they'll still be a match when their season wraps filming.
