Jasmine Guillory is giving Beauty and the Beast a fresh update that would make Belle proud in By the Book. At 25, Izzy is fast becoming disillusioned by her dream job in publishing. Not only is she constantly working for so little pay she's stuck living at her parents' home, but she's also one of the only Black employees at the publishing house. Still, she's not ready to give up just yet, so when she discovers her boss needs someone to get a manuscript out of their beastly client Beau Towers, she volunteers in hopes of earning a promotion. But upon meeting Beau, she realises getting him to sit down and write might not be as easy as she expected.
