A girls' weekend takes a deadly turn in The Perfect Escape by Leah Konen. Sam, Margaret, and Diana all became friends after going through divorces at the same time. But despite their common experience, they don't really know each other all that well. Still, the trio decides to plan a weekend getaway together to put their bad relationships behind them. The trip almost immediately goes wrong when they end up stranded in a remote mountain town where Diana goes missing and one of their ex-boyfriends shows up. Soon, Sam and Margaret are certain their detour was something more than just bad luck.
