As a woman with a small chest, I take delight in the fact that I can pull off the bra-less look from time to time (depending on the moment and the material I'm wearing). I live for the evenings I get to slip into a design with an open back or something strappy without having to worry about things bunching up top or having to adjust my underwire. Sometimes it's so satisfying to put on a bold, complicated silhouette with a lot going on and actually feel comfortable. You'll find that the tops and dresses are big on texture, which adds dimension to your look. I feel the best when I'm wearing a dress like this one without anything underneath and barely any jewellery at all. It's a simple, clean date night go-to.
8 House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve
Nicole Richie's brand House of Harlow 1960 is for the bohemian queen who invests in a dreamy blouse whenever she can. There are plenty of colourful, dramatic gowns here too, but I love how effortless an off-the-shoulder look like this one feels. Thanks to the defined structure under the bust, I won't feel like my top is slipping down, which is something I struggle with from time to time.
9 LPA
I don't mean to play favourites, but OK, LPA is probably in my short list of top five favourite brands to shop at Revolve. My Winter pick, this button-front sweater dress, is actually pretty plain and unconventional for the brand, which is all about drama (think: animal prints, furry finishes, leather, jewel-toned velvet, and sequins). This season, though, every girl needs a ribbed sweater dress in her closet, and I like that the fabric is thick enough so that I'd feel comfortable unfastening a button or two and just working this with a soft bralette.
10 By the Way.
By the Way. is my easy go-to for minidresses. It's a no-brainer! The brand consistently churns out leggy little numbers that you'd quickly pair with heels for a night out. But if I'm making a statement in something sexy, I usually like to look for killer detail up top, like a superstrappy back or cutout detail that you wouldn't want to distract from with thicker bra straps. If you're a girl after my own heart, you love glitzy going out tops that you can throw on with jeans and call it a day. My favourite form of these is a bodysuit, so that everything stays tucked in cleanly. But if I want to avoid a bra or even pasties on a night out, I prefer ribbed material.
