I decided to increase my daily protein intake by 40 grams. I did this by adding a protein smoothie to my afternoon lunch.
I mixed one serving of Vanilla Vega Performance Protein Powder (30 grams) with half a serving of Trader Joe's Unsweetened Pea Protein Powder (10 grams), and one-quarter cup of frozen blueberries. For 221 calories, 12 grams of carbs, and 4.7 grams of sugar, this gave me an extra 40.3 grams of protein per day. As a bonus, I also got an extra four grams of filling fibre.
