Popsugar Living Happy Hour Does Disneyland Serve Alcohol? Hold On to Your Mickey Ears — Disneyland Is Going to Serve Alcohol! 3 September 2018 by Karenna Meredith First Published: 31 August 2018 Image Source: Flickr user hyku It's official! You'll soon be able to buy your boozy drinks in Disneyland, thanks to the upcoming Star Wars attraction. The park announced that, for the first time in its 63-year history, guests will be able to buy alcohol in the park — at Oga's Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when it opens next year! This is big news for adult Disney fans, who've had to find a way into the park's exclusive Club 33, cross over to California Adventure, or travel all the way to Disney World for their mixed drinks. According to the Disney Parks blog, Oga's Cantina will feature themed custom cocktails, beer, and wine options for visitors. This decision to serve alcohol may come as a surprise to many longtime fans, since Walt Disney famously refrained from serving alcohol in the parks to maintain a family-friendly environment. Ahead, see mixed reactions from lovers of Disneyland. We can't wait to see what 2019 will bring! That’s why Disneyland has never served it publicly. Club 33 is private so doesn’t really count.— jonathan (@jaysquivel) August 30, 2018 8 / 10 Disneyland officially announcing alcohol inside the park for Galaxys Edge YIKES— Jampal (@Jamcobs) August 30, 2018 9 / 10 But Fans Also Know Change Can Be Good, 63 Years Later I tend to be a pretty hardline traditionalist when it comes to Disneyland, but alcohol sales were inevitable and, frankly, long overdue. It’s 2018 and the way we, as a culture, interact with alcohol is wildly different from 1955. Walt also didn’t want CMs to have beards.— David Daut (@DavidMDaut) August 30, 2018 10 / 10 Happy HourDisney FoodFood NewsDisneyland
