Popsugar News Nhs UK Unites to Clap For NHS Carers During Coronavirus A Second Clap For Our Carers Is Scheduled For Tonight To Remind Us We’re All in This Together 2 April 2020 by Angela Law First Published: 27 March 2020 View On One Page Photo 14 of 16 ADVERTISEMENT () Start Slideshow View this post on Instagram #Coronavirus isolation, day 12. We live in an isolated cul de sac in the middle of nowhere, miles away from the nearest village. At 8pm last night, our small street of nine houses joined the rest of the country for #ClapForCarers #ClapForTheNHS. I think we all had a dose of the cringe to begin with (“we just... clap? Out loud?”) but once one house started, the next on followed, and the next, then the next until everyone was clapping and cheering, kids across the road banging pots and wooden spoons. Once we stopped clapping, we all started shouting hello’s and trying to catch up with eachother from the confines of our doorsteps/gardens, and after a week and a half of isolation it became a strangely emotional moment. Other humans do exist outside of our small quarantined bubbles. This will pass. I hope you’re all doing okay in your quarantine bubbles. This whole situation is surreal and no one really knows how it will end or what our new normal will be in the weeks and months to come. Let’s just all keep connecting as much as we can, even if it’s just to wave from our own digital doorsteps and yell hello. ❤️ #covid19 #selfisolation #socialdistancing #quarantine #lockdown #scottishlockdown #stayin #stayhome #stayhomestaysafe #WeLoveTheNHS #NHS #savethenhs A post shared by Amy (@amyjax_) on Mar 27, 2020 at 3:22am PDT Share This Link Copy ← Use Arrow Keys → 14 Previous Next Start Slideshow NHSCOVID-19News
