Rescue Runts, the adorable plush pets your children can rescue, groom, and love, don't just come in the original four dog breeds anymore — there's now a UNICORN. Because all kids wish they could adopt a real pet unicorn, KD Kids' announcement of its newest pet in the line comes at a perfect time, right before the holidays.
If you're not familiar with Rescue Runts, one of the hottest toys of the season and one that was new for 2018, the premise is adorable: your child opens up their new pet's "crate" to find an animal with tears that need to be wiped away, matted fur that needs to be washed and brushed out, fleas that need to be removed, and a collar with a tag that leaves space for them to write their pet's name. They can rescue their pet over and over, but the result is always the same — a soft, plush pet they can love on just like the real thing.
There's only one catch here: the $20 unicorn pet, which is exclusive to Walmart and limited edition, is rolling out in stores now but won't be available to purchase online. Even though you'll have to physically make a Walmart run, the look on your kid's face when you tell them you got them a pet unicorn for the holidays will be worth it, no?
