The Amalfi Coast

Stretching just over 31 miles along Italy's southern edge, the Amalfi Coast is a winding wonderland of pastel-coloured seaside towns, rolling vineyards, cliff-side groves, and steep crags plunging straight down into the Mediterranean Sea. This small slice of paradise offers one dreamy destination after the other, from larger cities like Naples to tiny towns like Furore. As for food, Neapolitan pizza was invented here, so get ready for the tastiest (and supercheap) pie of your life.

Tip: While high-end hotels will put you out multiple hundreds of pounds per night, budget hotels are abundant up and down the coast, offering comfortable and stylish digs for a fraction of the cost.
