Yes, You Can (and Should) Tip

Tipping culture varies greatly throughout the world, so it's important to know the customary amounts for Cuba when you travel there. While sometimes tips (service charges) are included on bills at restaurants, it's also smart to have a few extra CUC on you when dining out, drinking at bars, or paying hotel employees and other members of the service industry.

People working in service industries are often paid an hourly rate that is relatively low, so tipping 10 to 15 percent can be very helpful and is usually appreciated. As mentioned before, keep change on you for restroom attendants, hotel maids and valets, street performers, tour guides, etc.
