Eight weeks after welcoming her baby girl, Chrissy Teigen is ready for a new look. The cookbook author unveiled her red hair in an Instagram video shared on 8 March. Wearing a vibrant pink-and-blue robe, she showed off the gorgeous auburn colour as her hairstylist touched up her layers. "breaking news: woman gets new hair colour," she captioned the clip, adding a series of exclamation marks.
Hair colourist Matt Rez transformed Teigen's former brunette, while stylist Rikke Gajda gave the mum of three her bouncy, flipped ends. In addition to the dye job, she got a fresh chop that left her hair sitting at her collarbone. She had previously sported long, chest-length hair in a dark brown hue.
Red hair has been having a moment since early 2021, and its popularity shows no sign of slowing down. "Red hair is that colour everybody wants to try," celebrity hairstylist Kiyah Wright recently told POPSUGAR. "They've done the browns, they've dabbled into highlights, and they're like, 'Oh, I want to try something different.'"
