Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury Are Engaged

Molly-Mae Shares How Tommy Planned His Proposal: "I Was Completely and Utterly Fooled"

They've got the house, the baby, and celebrated family holidays together, and now there is that special ring on Molly-Mae Hague's finger to seal the deal. The former "Love Island" star took to Instagram on 23 July to announce her engagement to Tommy Fury, her boyfriend of four years, via a romantic black and white video showing the stunning proposal.

But it turns out that the boxer actually tricked his other half in a bid to pull off the special moment. Taking to her Instagram stories two days later, Hague admitted that she was "completely and utterly fooled" by Fury, who planned a "fake" brand event during their trip to Ibiza. "Just before we were leaving for a 'brand event' we'd both been invited to...Fake invites, fake emails, notes in the hotel room from the brand, everyone playing along so unbelievably well," she began. "I've never known a surprise to be pulled off like this."

She went on to explain that the moment they pulled up to the "event" in the car, she realised what was about to happen. "Tommy jumped out of the car and ran off, and I was handed a letter that I realised all was not what it seemed." Fury ended up flying out singer RuthAnne to perform Hague's favourite song, "The Vow", during their romantic moment, as well as the influencer's glam team and videographer – who captured the proposal unfolding.

In the social media clip, Hague can be seen walking to meet Fury on a cliffside looking tearful. He's holding their 7-month old daughter, Bambi, surrounded by white flowers. Hague, wearing a white strapless Alex Parry jumpsuit, is crying as Fury gets down on one knee to pop the question. The post is captioned with "Forever. 23/07/23" while the video plays to the sounds of RuthAnne's track.

Hague went on to share a glimpse of her stunning engagement ring in an intimate family picture, which is an impressive sparkler, to say the least. Famous friends immediately took to the comment section to congratulate the pair. "Love Island" host Maya Jama wrote "WE LOVE TO SEE IT! congratulations you cuteys", while Olivia Attwood added "Congratulations !!!!"

Fans of the couple, who are soon to appear on Netflix's "At Home With the Furys", have been waiting for the engagement which looked to be imminent. Fury hinted to it while appearing on the panel on ITV's "Loose Men" episode on 18 May, and was quizzed about his proposal plans. "My actual plan was to [propose] a lot sooner but obviously being a boxer, when you're in a training camp, you've got to completely shut yourself off and focus on the fight," the boxer said.

It is thought that the delay could have been due to his fight with YouTuber, Jake Paul, which Fury won and dedicated his win to his new daughter. "So, I can't be going here, there and everywhere proposing. I'm going to do it soon guys, I really am but it just takes a bit of time!" he added.

The pair – who welcomed their first child in January 2023 – met on season five of the ITV dating series, where they made their relationship official during the show in July 2019. The couple came in second place to winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea, before moving in together in Manchester in September that year. The soon-to-be married lovebirds have gone from strength to strength, and bought their first home in September 2022 and became parents to two cats – adorably named Eggy and Bread – before Bambi joined them earlier this year.

It seems 2023 is the year for some big celebrity engagements, so Fury and Hague are certainly be in good company. Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, got engaged in April this year, as well as Lana Del Rey, who is reportedly set to marry boyfriend Evan Winiker. Now we are already imagining what Hague and Fury's big day will be like and can't wait to follow all their planning.
