Here's Kelly Ripa Ruthlessly Roasting The Bachelor's Arie, For Your Viewing Pleasure
Y'all, Kelly Ripa brought the HEAT while interviewing The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham, and it's truly a joy to watch. Just one day after "the most dramatic season finale ever" — an episode that featured Arie's surprising proposal to Lauren B. and the official announcement of Becca Kufrin as the next Bachelorette — Arie and his new fiancée made an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan. In sum, sh*t got real, and it got real fast.
Host Kelly Ripa certainly didn't mask her sceptical feelings about Arie, and she immediately dove into the interview by saying, "I wanna understand everything — your thought process, what's wrong with you . . . what are you thinking, how did this happen, were you as shady as I think you are now . . ." When Kelly bluntly asked Arie whether he felt pressure to propose to someone on the show and he said "yes," Kelly fired back, "Was it a coin toss? Was it a name in the hat?" Damn. Arie, do you need some ice for that burn? Let me know, man.
Kelly's ruthless roasting session didn't stop there, as she went on to ask Arie and Lauren if they were DMing each other during Arie and Becca's engagement period, a question likely spurred from the recent news that Arie had DMed former contestant Bekah Martinez after the show stopped taping. When Arie and Lauren looked at each other and replied "no," Kelly blatantly said, "I don't believe that."
