In 2003, Starbucks launched its first-ever pumpkin spice beverages, and the world hasn't been the same since. Pumpkin spice mania hit its peak in autumn 2017, according to Google Trends, and though the craze has died down a bit, pumpkin spice flavours have cemented themselves into seasonal culture as a permanent (and fragrant) part of autumn festivities.

At the end of summer, autumn obsessives start getting excited about pumpkin spice again. Whether you're team #ItsStillSummer or you're ready to don your boots and toss your iced coffee order in the bin, the truth is, it's coming. Whether you're ready or not, it's almost time for Starbucks to release its autumn menu.

When Is Starbucks Releasing Pumpkin Spice For 2023?

Starbucks just announced the coveted pumpkin spice latte will be back in all UK stores from 7 September.

This year, pumpkin spice superfans can get their hands on the autumn beverage a whole week early by signing up to Starbucks Rewards. For those customers on the rewards scheme, pumpkin spice latte will be available from Thursday, 31 August. They will also be able to get early access to pumpkin spice reusable merchandise.

In addition to the brand's classic pumpkin spice latte, the chain's also bringing back customer favourites, including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and the Pumpkin Spice Frappucino.

When Does Starbucks Usually Have Pumpkin Spice?

Every year, Starbucks rolls out their pumpkin spice drinks towards the end of August and early September — nearly a month before autumn officially starts on 23 Sept. Last year, Starbucks released its pumpkin spice drinks nationwide on 1 Sept.

Even before the pumpkin spice release date for 2023 was confirmed, rumours were already flying around the internet. Instagram user @markie_devo alleged the autumn menu would drop on 24 Aug., claiming to have got the news from a Starbucks employee.

Starbucks's autumn menu is available "for a limited time, while supplies last," according to a release from the brand, but it's usually only around until 1 Nov. — so get your fix while you can (or learn how to make your own pumpkin spice latte at home).

Not only does the Starbucks autumn menu feature four iterations of the pumpkin spice latte, this year the brand are also bringing one highly-anticipated treat to the UK for the first time . . . cake pops. Available in three fun flavours — caramelised biscuit, chocolate, and birthday cake — be sure to head down to your local store before they disappear off the shelves.
