Hilary Duff Welcomed Her Baby Girl, and We’re Obsessed With Her Uncommon Name
Surprise! Hilary Duff disappeared from social media for two weeks and made the cutest return with a photo of her and boyfriend Matthew Koma (whose given last name is Bair) holding their brand new baby girl, who was born at home on Oct. 25 — and she has the coolest uncommon name.
"Banks Violet Bair. This little bit has fully stolen our hearts!" Hilary wrote on Instagram of her and Matthew's little girl. "She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic."
The name Banks, which is typically seen as a last name, or slightly more commonly as a boys' first name, is actually rising for girls. Although the name is only the 4,419th most popular girls' name in 2018, 15,200 more girls have been named Banks since 2017, according to BabyCentre's data. And we have a sneaky feeling it'll rise even more in 2019 thanks to Banks Violet.
