From the finger-wave mullet and curly cornrows to a voluminous fauxhawk on the red carpet, Lizzo has been serving showstopping hairstyles all year long. In a TikTok video posted on 20 Dec., the "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" singer added one more mesmerising look to her beauty repertoire: the wolf cut.
"Are we loving the wolf cut ???" Lizzo captioned a video of herself mouthing along to "Gossip Girl" audio between Blair and Vanessa. "Some people are simply better than others," Lizzo mouths as the voiceover asks, "You really think you're better than me?" With a smirk, the "Special" singer says, "Oh, I think we both know the answer to that." Compliments rained down in the comments section, including one heartfelt message from a celebrity friend. "So pretty!!!" Halle Bailey wrote.
Lizzo's new 'cut — as previously worn by Keke Palmer, Rihanna, Billie Eilish, and more — was a softer take on the shag-mullet crossover, with layers of glossy waves that hung down to her waist. "Obsessed w how cute I was yesterday," she captioned a video of herself fluffing her new bangs with her lengthy, pointed manicure and checking her outfit — a LBD with waist and arm cutouts — on Instagram.
In a separate TikTok video posted the same day, Lizzo tested the viral glitter lip balm challenge, applying a shimmering gold lip balm over brown lip liner and a neutral lipstick. "It did nothing," she sang at the end of the video, adding, "Ima still rock it tho," in the caption. She completed her face with winged eyeliner, mascara, and shimmery rose-gold eyeshadow. Once her look was finished, Lizzo took a moment to show off her new hair with a happy dance and a quick lip sync to "Kill Bill" from SZA's new "S.O.S." album with the "Shirt" singer herself.
